Coffee Festival 2009

III City festival "For a Coffee to Lviv" will take place on 25th-27th of September 2009

at Rynok Square in the City of Lviv

Coffee — the most poplular drink in the world in any season. A cup of coffee takes a place in people's minds about such symbols of hospitality as friendliness of serving staff, cosy atmosphere of hotel, restaurant or caffeteria. Nowadays it is almost impossibe even think about a day without a cup of coffee that gives an energy for the whole day. Coffee drink and coffee shops are symbols of Lviv, they are a part the brand of the city in the minds of tourists and visitors.

The purpose of Coffee Festival is to organise interesting entertaining event as for the tourists as well as for the local citizens, to raise the level of coffee drinking culture, to prove the image of Lviv as the Eastern European capital of Coffee that has a long tradition of consuming this drink.

The symbol of the festival should be presented by such a famous person – Yuriy Kulchytsky, who is Ukrainian by the origin, took part in the liberation of Vienna from the Turks in 1683, and opened the first coffee house in Vienna (Europe) "Under a blue bottle".
